Designed for ages 6 to adult, Construction Race is addictively entertaining for players of all stages! Combining elements of luck (what cards will you get?) and skill (how will you deal your cards?), it puts players of different ages and skill levels on a more balanced playing field than other games that rely purely on skill.

Step 1

Create a drawing pile with all cards in the middle of the table. Each player takes 6 cards. Going around in a circle, each player gets a turn to lay down a card and choose another one from the drawing pile.

Step 2

Start developing your plot of land! Build your steel, brick, and wood houses by laying down the cards in the right order in separate piles for each house: permit card, materials card, house card, and certificate of occupancy card.

Step 3

Many more cards come into play by blocking you or your opponents! Serve your fellow players with violations, bulldozers, thieves, “stop work” orders, and inspectors! Try to load up with defense cards like fences, guards, and more permits as protection.

Step 4

Win by being the first player to complete all three houses successfully, in the right order! Construction Race takes about 15 minutes per round, and is bound to become your family’s next game-night obsession.
