The Incarnate series was conceived of when the Directorate started hitting the limits of what they could accomplish with Biomancy upon mortal flesh. Seeking to transcend the limits of flesh while working with it posed a conundrum that htey solved by growing each of the required organs and muscles separately. This allowed them to grow the individual parts without worrying about the metabolic strain that would place on something as mundane as a body.

These organs and muscles are then transplanted onto a frame composed of a specially grown crystalline bone lattice that they have boned with a metal frame. The autonomous nervous system is allowed to grow from a series of specialized neuron clusters implanted throughout the body. A simplified clone brain is implanted into the resulting body with reduced cognitive capacity but tremendous loyalty and protective instincts. The end result is one of the most terrifying creations of the Directorate, in many ways the perfect bodyguard, unconcerned with the preservation of self, and only too willing to follow orders, albeit simple ones. Even the Directorate paused before considering whether they want to refine the neural network of this creation, but there are rumors that the Sovereign has commissioned an Incarnate line of offensive berserkers.
