A cooperative roll and move stacking game of skill and suspense for 1-4 players ages 4 +

The five little unicorns Glitterluck, Rosalie, Marvel Flower, Magic Swirl, and Stardust live in a beautiful cloud castle. Every day, friends come to visit them; there are always many visitors and a lot going on and the castle is running out of space. Using many clouds and a little bit of magic, the unicorns gradually add more turrets to their castle.

The object of the game is to collect the 10 pink crystals, stack the clouds and the unicorns on the castle in order to house all the unicorns in their new home!

Game Set Up

Contents include:

  • 4 unicorns: Glitterluck (hot pink), Stardust (yellow), Marvel Flower (purple), and Magic Swirl (turquoise),
  • 1 baby unicorn Rosalie (pink),
  • 1 cloud castle,
  • 5 large white clouds
  • 5 smaller blue clouds
  • 1 die,
  • 1 cloud game board
  • 16 double sided cloud tiles
  • 10 cloud crystals and instructions booklet

Preparation:

Place the cloud game board in the center and place the cloud castle (as shown) in the recess. Randomly place all the cloud tiles, lighter white side face up, in a circle around the cloud game board. Place unicorn baby Rosalie on any tile of your choice and have the die ready. The remaining unicorns, the white and blue clouds, and the 10 cloud crystals are kept as a stockpile outside the cloud circle so that all the players can easily reach them.

What does the die show?

  • One, two, or three clouds - Move Rosalie forward this number of cloud tiles in a clockwise direction

  • Star - Place Rosalie on any tile of your choice.

Where has Rosalie landed?

On a white cloud

Take a large white cloud from the stockpile and stack it on the cloud castle.

On a blue cloud

Take a small blue cloud from the stockpile and stack it on the cloud castle

On the unicorn symbol

Take any unicorn from the stockpile and stack it on the cloud castle.

On a cloud crystal

Place a cloud crystal in any round recess on the cloud game board.

Note: You may also build on the left and right of the castle, but only inside the recess.

If you land on a tile and there are none of the clouds, unicorns, or crystals shown left in the stockpile, you do nothing. Rosalie simply stays where she is.

What happens if parts fall off the castle?

Not to worry! Just put the fallen clouds and/or unicorns back into the stockpile. The crystals already collected remain on the cloud game board.

Now, turn over any tile with a white or blue cloud. What does the cloud tile show?

  • The Sun - That's lucky - keep on stacking without a care.
  • The Thunderstorm - Look out! As soon as 3 thunderstorm tiles have been turned over, you lose.

End of the Game

The game ends in one of two ways:

  1. Once all 10 gems have been collected and all 4 unicorns are stacked on the castle, the last player who rolled now must stack Rosalie on top of the kingdom. If nothing falls off, you have won together! (if something falls, just keep playing). OR
  2. As soon as 3 thunderstorm tiles have been turned over, you have unfortunately lost together.

Game Variations

Unicorn Glitterluck Cloud Stacking is unique in that it is just as fun to play on your own. Without a partner, it's just you against the thunderclouds!

  • The game is easier when you can turn over up to 4 thunderstorm tiles and Rosalie doesn’t have to be stacked at the end.
  • The game is more difficult if only 2 thunderstorm tiles can be turned over signifying the end of the game.
  • Make sure this fits by entering your model number.
  • Bringing you all the fun of two HABA classics, Unicorn Glitterluck and Animal Upon Animal in one roll & move, gem collecting dexterity game of skill and suspense. This one can be a lot more challenging than you might think!
  • You and your friends will be trying to get all the unicorns and their crystals into the cloud kingdom before the rain begins. Players roll the dice and move Rosalie along the tiles. Depending on where they land, they will either stack a cloud, stack a unicorn or collect a gem.
  • You win together when all 10 crystals are collected and all 5 unicorns (rosalie's always last) are stacked in the cloud kingdom.
  • Watch out! every time a part falls of the castle, the fallen pieces go back to the stock pile and that player must turn over a cloud tile. Will it be a thunderstorm? Let's hope not! If you turn over 3 thunderstorms before stacking all the unicorns and collecting all the gems, you lose together.
  • Suitable for 1-4 players ages 4+ with a playing time of about 15 minutes. Made in Germany with quality components, this one is sure to be a favorite for the whole family and adult game night too.
