Imperial Settlers is a card game in which players take on the roles of leaders of 4 asymmetric playing factions (Roman, Barbarian, Egyptian, Japanese) and build their empires by placing buildings, sending workers to those buildings to acquire new resources and abilities. Main game mechanics are: card drafting, engine building, tableau building, set collection, resource management. It is based on 51st State - another board game published by Portal Games. Big popularity of Imperial Settlers has led to its further development with 7 expansions published in consecutive years.

Goal of the Game

Imperial Settlers is a card game that is played over five rounds during which players build buildings, trade resources, conquer enemies, and thus score victory points. Whoever has the most victory points at the end, wins!
