Works with LeapTV Educational, Active Video Gaming System
The LeapTV educational, active video gaming system is built just for young kids ages 3–8 years. With its simple interface, action-packed gameplay, a 3-in-1 controller engineered for little hands and camera optimized to capture a child’s movements, LeapTV transcends the kid-friendly claims of other game systems. LeapTV games include audio instructions for kids who don’t yet read, so even the youngest preschool kids can play. LeapTV console and games are sold separately.
Team up with Dora, Naiya and Pablo as they shrink to return an enchanted ring to an ancient city’s princess. Race with a friend on a mouse, twirl charms into action, and use mathematics skills in an exciting, magical adventure back in time. Designed for children ages 4-7 years, Dora and Friends works with the LeapTV Educational, Active Video Game System.
“We created this game to set math and reasoning skills into motion for young learners. As confident, eager problem-solvers, Dora and her friends are great companions on an active journey filled with early algebraic thinking. Children can also practice mentally rotating shapes to fit into a lock, building spatial reasoning skills that may be valuable for future mathematical thinking.” –Pamela G., PhD, LeapFrog Learning Expert
The learning begins at a level that’s based on your child’s age/grade and past progress, then automatically adjusts during play for just the right challenge. Answer guidance, instant hint tutorials and levels that build upon one another help children to progress from number sequences through addition, subtraction and early algebra, and to develop spatial reasoning skills.
Complete number sequences to fix steps and platforms, open treasure chests using spatial reasoning, and balance bridges using addition, subtraction and early algebra.
Activate charms from Dora’s magic charm bracelet to get past obstacles. Choose the right charm, and then twirl the controller in the air to activate it. Ride a duck to cross water, soar on a bird and more!
Use spatial reasoning skills to unlock treasure chests and collect the gems inside. Rotate 2D or 3D shapes to find the one that will fit in the lock, and select it to open the chest.
Play as Dora, Naiya or Pablo in a two-player cooperative game! Tilt and turn the controller to collect gems while riding mouseback. Team up with a friend to collect even more—adventure is better when you work together.
Use the controller buttons to navigate. Lift the controller up and down or rotate it in a circle to open boxes and doors. Twirl it to activate magical charms! Plus, play with a friend in a two-player mouse-riding mini-game.
